From the 20th to the 22nd of November we were at the museum fair “Exponatec” in Cologne. Who suppresses his yawning now, we would like to say that the museum world is guided in such an exciting path that one’s mouth opens in amazement, not by yawning.
The conversations that we were allowed to attend turned around such fascinating topics that we can not wait to dive deeper into the subject matter. It was about Samurai, a historic classroom, mining lore, prehistoric elephants, woolly rhinos, the advancement of 3D printing, artificial intelligence, a sketching robotic arm, and so much more. In this way also thanks to our interlocutors who have given us their time and attention.
After the talks it became active. We presented our applications.
At our Virtual Reality Station, visitors entered a historical grocery store. But this was not unvisited. Eddi, the Edmontosaurus was looking for food. Now it was up to the visitors to feed Eddi.
With printed QR codes, for example as postcards, we showed the connection between the real and the virtual world. With our AR Experiments app a figur was battling in the castle or the ammonite was swimming in the air. Surely he was looking for the water, in which we placed the cog in front of the Hansekontor.
For Android, the app is available as a free download on Google Playstore.
